Why everyone keeps coming back.

Kowloon Delight Tacubaya 九龍餐廳 is a vibrant gem nestled in the heart of Tacubaya, Ciudad de México, offering an authentic Chinese dining experience with a Mexican twist. Known for its warm, casual atmosphere and generous portions, this restaurant invites you to savor a rich palette of flavors that celebrate classic Chinese cuisine, presented with an approachable and comforting flair.

The extensive menu is a true delight for any lover of Chinese food. Start your meal with fresh, creamy salads like the Ensalada de Pollo or Ensalada de Camarones, where tender shredded chicken or plump shrimp mingle with crisp celery and fresh lettuce, all dressed with a luscious blend of cream and mayonnaise that adds a smooth, tangy touch. If you prefer something heartier, their soups are a warm hug on a plate — especially the Sopa Delight Especial, a thick blend infused with sweet corn, delicate egg whites, and succulent shrimp, creating a comforting depth of flavor.

Main courses showcase Kowloon Delight’s mastery over their craft. Their famed Chou Fan Mixed (fried rice) has customers raving for its perfectly balanced textures and savory richness, a dish that bursts with the essence of wok-fried goodness. For a fulfilling entrée, the Tampiqueña de Res offers a delightful Mexican-Chinese fusion: tender grilled beef paired with an enchilada drenched in mole, refried beans, rajas poblanas, rice, and crispy fries, creating a harmonious blend of tastes and textures on every plate. Meanwhile, the Arrachera — a grilled skirt steak served alongside guacamole and creamy mashed potatoes — perfectly balances smoky and fresh elements.

Dining here is an experience that feels both unpretentious and satisfying. The space itself invites you to relax and enjoy your meal without fuss, while the attentive staff are consistently praised for their friendly, above-and-beyond service. Whether you arrive early to enjoy their unique breakfast options like pan dulce with coffee and turkey bacon hotcakes or come for a hearty dinner, Kowloon Delight offers something for every palate. Customers laud the restaurant not only for its delicious food but also for its excellent value — generous portions at prices that pleasantly surprise.

What makes Kowloon Delight truly special is its unwavering dedication to flavor. Each bite tells a story of tradition and passion, enhanced by fresh ingredients and careful preparation. The texture of the shrimp with cashews, the crisp exterior of the sweet and sour ribs, and the comfort of noodle soups like the Sopa Won Ton con Cha Siu demonstrate an expert balance between authenticity and approachability.

With glowing comments such as Orlando Ángeles’s praise of the unbeatable fried rice, or Earleena Fatosa’s recognition of large portions coupled with exemplary service, it’s clear this restaurant captures the hearts of both locals and visitors. Whether you seek a cozy, casual dinner or an early morning meal with a unique twist, Kowloon Delight in Tacubaya is a destination where flavor and hospitality come together to create an unforgettable dining experience.

For those exploring the bustling Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood, this restaurant offers a comforting culinary retreat where authenticity meets warmth — a true delight in the diverse landscape of Ciudad de México’s dining scene.

Delicious food! They always have Choux! Shrimps with cashews! Lately, it might have less protein, but the flavour is delicious and prices are low, so it's still a winner!

One of the most authentic restaurants in the zone to enjoy a curious mix of Oriental cuisine and Mexican "antojitos". If you are in the neighborhood, don't miss out!
